Tasting- Dibon Cava

Name:  Dibon Cava Brut Reserve
Variety:  Xarel-lo, Parellada, and Macabeo
Region:  Penedes
Country:  Spain
Year:  Non-Vintage
Price:  $9.95

Shop Critic:  The nose offers regal yeast and richness, while the palate has complexity to prop up apple, citrus, and grapefruit flavors.  Solid from front to back, with health and freshness.

My Review:  This wine had a dry, almost steely champagne smell which made sense because this is supposed to be a sparkling wine.  Very light-bodied with notes of apricot and citrus.   Not a sweet wine and pretty dry for a white.  Not one I'd try again.  I tried this wine by itself with no food pairings.
